Lizard Pose, aka Utthan Pristhasana, is a versatile hip opener, allowing many options for both advanced and beginner yogis. Lizard opens the both the inner thigh and the front of the hips. Depending on your flexibility you can rest on your palms or forearms for a deeper opening. The back knee can rest on the mat or be lifted for a more active stretch that also strengthens the quads and core. You can also roll onto your outer front foot to get into different areas of that hip as well. We will be exploring this pose and many more in the 9:30am @lucentyoga this Thursday. See you soon!
