This pose did NOT used to feel good for me. It’s pretty awkward and extremely intense!
There’s a lot of pressure on the chest, so it takes a bit of working out how to actually breathe once you’re there. I try to press my shoulders down into the floor to lift everything else up. That way I have more space to breathe.
It’s also easy to hang out in the lower back so be careful to lift and lengthen that portion of the spine so you don’t end up sore.
I’ve been practicing it for a few years and it’s still pretty intense but now it’s actually one of my favourite poses.
It’s still a work in progress. Some days my heels touch down, some days they don’t. I’m ok with that!
